About Cramer Office
Cramer Office is the independent design and advisory practice of Nicolas Cramer
I embed with teams as an acting head of design or founding designer to help them validate ideas, shape strategy, and design products, brands, and narratives for their next set of milestones.
I've worked on early-stage teams as a venture-backed founder, startup operator, and independent designer. I've worn a lot of hats, learned many lessons, and bring that perspective to each engagement.

What clients have said
"When you are trying to find product market fit, Nick brings the exact right balance of deep product thinking, clean design and execution speed that is vitally important. He has come through for me time after time at company after company."
— Jimmy Secretan, CTO at JustWin
"Nick is one of those people who makes everyone around him better without making a big deal about it. You just notice the work gets sharper, the conversations get more focused, and the bar moves up. Raise your standards quick cause he'll raise them for you. Any founder who gets to work with him is lucky. They just might not realize how lucky until later."
— Robin Daugherty, Co-Founder at Harper
"Working with Nick felt like adding a co-founder for a few months, not hiring a designer. He got our space, pushed our thinking, and helped us land on a positioning, voice, and visual identity that all feel like us, just sharper. He made the whole thing easy: strong opinions when we needed direction, collaborative when we pushed back. The brand immediately gave us real confidence and credibility in the industry."
— Joshua Smibert, Founder at Walden
"Nick always shows up to any engagement as a true product and strategy partner. He engages deeply with the problem space, grounding ideas in research and helping teams get clear on what to build and why before execution. His real strength is pairing rigorous product thinking with clear, compelling design storytelling. He has a rare ability to synthesize complexity into concepts and narratives that resonate with both product teams and stakeholders. When I need the one-two punch of strong product strategy and high-quality design, he's the first person I call."
— Tim Balzer, VP Product at Roadtrippers
